First Aid at Work Requalification

A pre-requisite for this course is for the student to hold a valid First Aid at Work Certificate, it is best to re-qualify within the month of your FAAW certificate expiring.

The Skills for Health and HSE have set out the syllabus for First Aid at Work Re-qualification. The student will cover the same course content on a three day first aid work course in two days as a refresher  to prepare the student for the multiple choice test.

The student will be assessed on what to do in the event of an emergency how to treat a casualty with injuries to the bone, muscles, joints and suspected spinal injuries.

Students need to participate in all aspects of training and demonstrate their first aid competencies.  They will be expected to kneel down and demonstrate CPR and placing a casualty in to the recovery position.
